PowerPoint Homework

This homework counts for 20% of the homework grade.

Write a slideshow using all the major demonstable features of PowerPoint. Make all the elements as personal as possible for example use your name, talk about yourself. Prepare speaker notes and handouts as well. Your topic is "A Critical Analysis of CE210, Computers in Civil Engineering" (alternative topics may be acceptable, check first). You should include stengths, weaknesses, areas of improvement, things that YOU would have done differently and so on. Please attempt to be humorous or we may all fall asleep. Be frank and honest, but do not be rude or use foul language.  The grade will be directly porportional to the quality of the work.
At a minimum, your document must include:
  • Minimum six slides
  • A Slide Master
  • Drawing using AutoShapes and Drawing tools.
  • Charts: Organizational Chart & Graph
  • Clipart
  • Table
  • Different Bullets
  • Text Anchors
  • Slide transitions & build effects
  • Slide timings (full show should be about 2 minutes)
Bring to class:
  • complete slide show (ppt file) on diskette and 
  • printouts of complete slide show, outline, handouts (6 per page) and speakers notes (3 pages minimum with sample notes typed in). Be sure to include header & footer on printouts.
